The “CLASSES” were entered into were (although descriptions changed slightly from year to year)…
- Greenware adaptation. Changing the appearance of greenware by the entrant eg carving, cut-out, clay lifting, clay carve (water etch), lace/fabric draping, sprigging (attached clay decoration), Sgraffito.
- Underglaze Sgraffito - with use of a tool, engraving a design through colour
- Underglaze decoration - can be translucent or solid colour including majolica (decoration over unfired - non moving glaze) eg brushwork, floral, scenes
